Learn To Knit
Welcome to the wonderful world of fiber arts! If you’ve never picked up needles or forgot what you learned years ago, this is the class for you. You’ll learn how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off.
We’ll make simple squares in basic Garter and Stockinette fabric and you'll learn creative ways to join them for a blanket.
For this 2-part workshop, you’ll get advance access to a series of exclusive videos that demonstrate the fundamentals. You’ll have a chance to practice ahead of our first session and cast on as instructed in the pre-work. Then we’ll spend each of the 1-hour workshops for interactive help you may need, answers to your questions and other knitting tips and tricks.
Purchase lesson time and schedule Zoom sessions with KnitChats coach, Christina Mursa, that fit your schedule. When you take a KnitChats class, you’ll become a part of a vibrant community that provides friendship and support.
Getting ready for class is so easy. We offer thoughtfully curated kits ready to send straight to your door, saving you the time and overwhelm of searching for supplies.
Learn To Knit Kit:
Our Learn to Knit kits include one skein of medium-weight acrylic yarn and one set of bamboo knitting needles.
Cascade Yarns “Anthem” is a soft, squishy yarn that washes up easily and is great for everyone, even those with sensitive skin. We offer a choice of 5 different colors; red, green, blue, purple and orange.
Top quality shorter bamboo knitting needles complete the Learn to Knit kit. Bamboo needles are ideal for beginning knitters; bamboo is light, warm and has a slight friction helps keep stitches under control.
